The Wooden Boat Race has been going now for over ten years and was inspired by Commodore Maurice Cooper, himself an H28 owner before buying a wooden power boat as his needs changed.

The brief was simple, get a bunch of wooden boats together and go sailing.

This years Wooden Boat Race is set for the 11th of March.

We are looking forward to a great race and rally for 2017.

The Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions are now available below or from the SoPYC website and the cost will still include a free feed at the end of the day with the bar operating at club prices.

Boats who wish to stay over night at SoPYC must  give us warning so that we can make arrangements with Pens and Moorings. You will also need to have the usual insurance any club boat carries.

See you on the day

The Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions may be found below
